May and Mother's Day

I have a funny feeling we'll be having some exciting posts from the Naples Tompkins family soon, so before that happens I thought I'd quickly put up a VA Tompkins update because it has been a while. Here are our May pictures:

Our Mother's Day picture recap. It was great being spoiled all weekend long, and I hope that all of the Tompkins mothers had an equally restful and pampered day. What beautiful mothers there are in the Tompkins family!

And here are some videos from this month. Ryan Jr. invented a new form of break dancing while we were at the Kazas' house for Joseph's 2nd birthday party. He definitely tore up the dance floor (at least, in his mind he certainly did):
This is just a random video of the kids playing with a hammer toy in their room. Cecilia was in a silly mood and did one of her weird fake laughs (she gets that from her father), and then was very affirming to Ryan Jr. when he took a turn, saying "very good Ryan, very good!" as he hammered.
One day when Ryan came home from work he brought Cecilia a rose that he had found on the ground by the newly planted rose bushes outside our condo. She was so thrilled with the rose and said it looked like the rose Sleeping Beauty held when she slept. We then proceeded upstairs to help Daddy get changed into "comfortable clothes" as is one of our welcoming-Daddy-home traditions (Cecilia is especially good at taking off his shoes and helping hang up his shirt on the hanger). At one point we turned around to see her resting on the bed in Sleeping Beauty's signature position, waiting for us to notice her. A few reenactments of the scene ensued (with Daddy as Prince Phillip) and so I took a video to remember the silliness.
Here is one of the kids dancing together one morning. Or rather, Cecilia forcing Ryan Jr. to dance with her against his will. If you listen carefully you can hear her say "I love you Ryan" a couple times as she leans in to him.
That's all for now, folks! Joe and Nicolette, we are praying for you and Tiny and cannot wait to hear the news that he/she is making his/her grand entrance into the world. To everyone else, we CANNOT WAIT to see you at Sanibel in just a couple of weeks! Much love, Ryan, Mary, Cecilia, Ryan Jr. and the new baby. :)

Fun pictures! Looks like you had a nice Mother's Day. We enjoyed the pictures and videos! Ryan has some great dance moves and Cecilia is so sweet to her little brother.
