More pictures :)

Not sure why this one flipped.
1 week old!

So funny story during this "photo shoot"... Veronica got a hold of Isabella's thumb and started sucking on it. Isabella thought it was hilarious, then she must have thought "Veronica gets to taste me, so I'm going to taste her" and proceeded to lick Veronica's hand. Jack and I could not contain our laughter, but still tried to tell Isabella to stop licking her hand. Since we kept her hand away, Isabella turned towards Veronica's face and decided to lick there instead!! Oh it was the funniest thing. We wish our video camera was handy!
Veronica kissing (aka eating) Isabella's cheek.

Too sweet!

Veronica Elizabeth

She's finally here! Veronica was born on the 15th at 6:26am (yay for 5 1/2 hrs of labor!). We were able to experience a water birth. It was wonderful! She was so peaceful and sweet looking up at Mommy for the longest time. Unfortunately, we had to cut the moment short because I was bleeding a lot and the midwife wasn't sure where it was coming from. Fortunately, she was able to stop the bleeding, but I lost my max amount of blood. I've never come so close to passing out that many times (or inhaled that much ammonia!) and I had three bags of IV fluids, but I was still able to come home the same day (which is why I look less than ideal in the pictures to follow). It was a very difficult and scary recovery, but we made it through!

Veronica weighed 7lbs 13.5oz.
I'm not sure why this picture flipped... she was 20 1/2 inches long.
Isabella ADORES Veronica! She always asks to hold her and she has the sweetest smile - just pure love. Today she woke up from her nap and ran all around the house until she found Veronica. It was so precious!

Isabella looks upset in this picture, but she wasn't - timing was bad :)

We're so happy she is finally with us. It has been an adjustment with two kids, especially due to how much time it has taken me to recover from all the blood loss. Thankfully we have family close by that has helped out so much! I don't know what I'd do without it. Veronica is already back at her birth weight, I'm sure we'll have a chub on our hands! Thank you all for your prayers and phone calls. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We can't wait to see everyone next month! Love you all!

We missed you all and wished we could have been with you in person for the Easter celebrations. We are so excited that Joe and Nicolette's wedding is just around the corner, and that we'll be with you soon! Much love, Ryan and Mary and kids.
