Sofia's January in Spain

Here are some pictures of little Sofia from the month of January, enjoying her quiet life in Spain.

Her car seat is one of her favorite spots to read and collect toys.

Helping Mommy make the bed.

Building Noah's ark.

Sleeping without a care in the world.

Holding her baby after she changed her diaper (note she is wearing one of Sofia's diapers). Unfortunately, this baby is no longer with us. We are not sure how, but like the bear in Toy Story 3, we left her somewhere....

......and replaced her with Bath Time Baby.

There is a nearby park where Sofia loves to play on the swings and slide.

This is the view from the park as you swing.

Like Cecilia, Sofia also loves to climb on the couch to read.

Doing her Saturday morning chores. HAHA.

Rocking with Mommy

Beautiful flowers from David on Pink Ladies Day.

Watching videos of Julie Kent perform in her many ballets on YouTube.
Sofia refers to this time very affectionately as "Julie ballet".

Enjoying her breakfast on the couch with baby as a special treat.

Giving her baby a bath.

One very late evening she refused to go to bed and decided to go through one of my bags. These are some of her favorite things that she found: a hat, her sunglasses, and a holy card.

Another favorite spot: on top of the living room table. Instead of reading, she is enjoying one of her favorite foods: peas.

And when she gets tired of the living room table, she runs to the kitchen to sit on this green mat. She is still eating her peas.

Our big girl all dressed up in one of her cute outfits from Grandma and Grandpa

Eating her Jell-O

Wearing her pjs that are a bit too big (but she had no others because Mommy had not done the laundry)

Not quite sure what we are doing here but you might be able to see my necklace that she is wearing. Whenever I wear a necklace, she needs to wear one of mine too.

Wearing Mommy's sneakers.

That's all for now. Love you all!

Praying, bouncing, and ballet

Warning: Not all content is suitable for children who are not allowed to bounce on the bed.

One afternoon Sofia was bouncing on the bed and she decided that she should take turns with her baby. I started taking videos with our video camera as she would bounce first saying "Your turn" (for her turn), and then "baby's turn". I decided to also get a video with our picture camera because I wanted to post it to the blog. Well as soon as I started recording with my camera, she surprised me with a desire to pray. Notice how she crosses her doll and says "Amen" repeatedly. I then had to prompt her to continue bouncing with turns so you could still see her in action. After bouncing, she decided it was time for ballet. Enjoy!

Rock the baby...Oops!

This is a video of Sofia rocking her baby in the train station at Avila and oops she dropped the baby (as taught by Aunt Christina).

Pregnant lady picture!

15 weeks and counting! (I am now 17 weeks)

She can do a puzzle in 5 minutes

I had intended to post pictures last night following Cecilia's coughing video but, surprise surprise, I couldn't get to it because of a certain little baby boy. Now that both kids are occupied, I thought I'd post some of my favorite pictures from the month of February so far. Cecilia in her Dad's hat: You can tell that it was her father taking the pictures of her, because she's actually smiling for the camera:
Here is one of Cecilia looking rather insane, after enjoying some spaghetti and meatballs for lunch:
Ryan Jr. looking snazzy in his hoodie:
Ryan Jr. and Daddy in their matching undershirts:
On our way home from Mass I noticed that Cecilia was unusually quiet. I looked back to see if she had fallen asleep, and this is what I saw:
Reading already, at the age of 16 months! Isn't she so smart? Here she is ready to dig into our Chipotle burritos that we got for the Superbowl.
Ryan Jr. looking rather serious the other morning:
Cecilia just loves to kiss her brother!

Cecilia has learned how to climb onto the couch, so now it's her favorite place to read books.
Ryan Jr. likes to sleep on his tummy, and I just think he looks so angelic in his sleep.

That's all for now!

The Sympathy Cougher

One of Cecilia's many weird quirks is that she is what we call a sympathy cougher. If she hears one of us cough, she almost always coughs as well, just so that we are not alone (or rather, so that she can share in some of the attention/sympathy). During the day, I will cough while in the kitchen and a moment later I hear Cecilia cough from the living room. Here is a short clip of her in action:

What happens when I'm not looking..

I looked up from my workout the other day and saw this scene: Cecilia feeding Ryan Jr. some Captain Crunch cereal...the parts of the cereal that she does not like as much. (She prefers the berries.) He was enjoying it!

Just thought I'd share. :)

Finishing up January!

Hola Familia! Here are some pictures finishing up the month of January. Life is starting to slow down for us (yay!). Nice little break before it speeds back up once Veronica is born! Enjoy the pictures!

Doesn't Isabella look beautiful wearing Mommy's hair piece?!
She did it all by herself!
Crazy girl!
Isabella's nice present for Mommy... a peanut butter and jelly face!
Dad & Mom came over to watch Isabella while Jack and I went out to celebrate our anniversary. Jack and I went to Tampa Theater for the first time and watched The King's Speech. It is such a beautiful and neat place!
Isabella loves to help push the laundry basket, but this time Daddy gave her a ride inside!
I think it fits just right :)
Beautiful roses Dad & Mom gave for our anniversary! Thank you!
Daddy reading to Isabella, but when there's a camera around, Isabella will be looking!
First matching outfit for Isabella and Veronica (given by Nana Bauer)! So excited!
My Mom won the Distinguished Graduate Award at Holy Family. She was presented with an award and gave a little speech during Mass. It was a nice day!

Isabella loves her shadow!

25.6 weeks pregnant. I'm starting to get impatient, but I still have some time to go! We cannot wait to meet Veronica!!
And last but not least, my two loves (out of the womb). Well, one of those loves was never in the womb, but you get the idea :)
