Our week in pictures

It's' been a while since I've posted any pictures of Ryan Jr., so here are some highlights from this week. Our attempt to get a picture of both kids together last Sunday afternoon: Cecilia holding Mommy's purse just like Mommy does:
Ryan's Justin Bieber hair right before it was (sadly) cut off:
Cecilia's newfound favorite activity: climbing and jumping on the couch (which she does get yelled at for but tries to sneak anyway):
The tree in front of our condo that cracked in half during the rushhour snow storm on Wednesday, brushing against our poor G6, which thankfully did not incur any damage. Ryan was smart that day and left work at 3 pm, getting home (just 10 miles away) in 1.5 hours. Other commuters weren't so lucky; his co-workers who left at 4 pm and after did not get home until 9 pm or later!
Ryan Jr. ready to play in the snow for the first time:
Ryan Jr. had his one month well baby visit this week as well and he weighed in at 10 lb. 12 oz. and is very healthy, thank goodness! Ryan totally rocked Cecilia's world in their snowball fight:
This is Cecilia saying "cold," or rather, making her face which means cold:
Mom and Dad, do you recognize her snow suit? :) Next we have Ryan Jr. impressing us with how well he holds his head up (it doesn't even bobble..he's really strong!):
Ryan Jr. chillin' on my leg and enjoying the company of his Kaza cousins yesterday morning (we had 7 of the 8 kids over for a sleepover since their house was without power due to the snow storm):
A little smile:

Now I ask you all: who do you think Ryan Jr. looks like?? We cannot figure his looks out! He's definitely unique.
I hope this picture post finds everyone well. :) We miss you all and can't wait to see Mom and Dad in just a few weeks. Much love, the Virginia Tompkins

Cuban Cecilia

Just a silly video of Cecilia getting in touch with her Cuban side by dancing to a spanish song, "Mi Nina Bonita" (thanks Joe for introducing us to that one!). She is holding in her hands some toys: a pot, grapes, a necklace, and a cookie. Symbolic, perhaps? I think the cutest part is at the very end when she says "bye bye." She is our dulce princesa!

Our baby girl!

Last night we went to All Children's to meet a friend of a friend who was willing to do an ultrasound for free! She burned a CD of the ultrasound; below is a clip of her profile. Our little girl was pressed right up against my placenta, it looks like she's kissing it! I was so excited because even though we were somewhat comfortable with the 85% chance it's a girl, I just wanted to know for sure! Especially since my cousin was told the same thing and she delivered a boy... SURPRISE! I'm too much of a planner :). Right now we're thinking Veronica will be her name. We're not sure of a middle name yet. She's growing beautifully, only a day different from my estimated due date! We have 16 weeks to go! We are getting excited!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year! Ours can't get much worse than the ending of 2010. November and December were some crazy months loaded with illness!

Here's a picture slideshow from December and January. We've spent a lot of time celebrating the holiday's with family. Christmas felt extra long this year since we didn't celebrate Christmas with the Tompkins until new years day. We didn't want to spread the colds we had, so we stayed home. The day after Christmas we took Isabella to the hospital because she had a bad case of stridor. They gave her a breathing treatment and steroids. It was only temporary relief, so they kept her overnight. It was a long and exhausting night, but thankfully she was released the following day. I didn't have my camera with me, so I didn't get any pictures of our stay.

New Years was a big dancing party with the Tompkins! It was a very late night and we were pooped the next day! January 6-9, Marisa and Sofia stayed at our house. We had a great time watching the girls spend time together. The cutest was watching them walk and hold hands! Of course those moments occurred when I was without my camera!!!

I hope you enjoy the pictures! We can't wait to see Little Ryan's baptism pictures after this weekend and then some Spain pictures from the Lantigua's! We love and miss you all!
