Isabella's new earrings & Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful day and ate lots and lots! Jack, Isabella, and I went to Dad & Mom Tompkins for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was fabulous as always! Turkey & gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green beans, cranberries, rolls, apple and pumpkin pies, and some nice red wine! We all had a wonderful time. We were missing the family that couldn't be with us! Here are a few pictures of the day.

First, I'll share some pictures of Isabella and her newly pierced ears. It was so hard for me to do - but I knew I wanted to pierce them when she wouldn't remember or know what was coming... as cruel as that sounds! She was definitely startled and cried which broke my heart, but she was fine the moment I faced her towards me. Thank goodness :). She looks adorable with her new earrings!

Cecilia Dancing

When Cecilia is upset, one of the ways I calm her down is to dance with her. She is named after the patron Saint of music, after all! I can't dance to any old song, however, it has to be one of the songs she likes; she has a distinct musical taste. One of her favorites is "Hate that I love you so" by Rihanna and David Bisbal. Hearing it makes her happy, and we took a video to demonstrate this, because it's pretty amusing:

Finally starting to feel like November :)

How about a picture update from the St. Pete Tompkins?! Nothing like starting out a blog with a naked baby! Isabella loves her bath times! So content sucking/chewing on her two fingers.

Florida weather is finally starting to feel nice! Here we are, the white t-shirt family, enjoying the cooler weather! "You're invading my space Mom & Dad"!

Brianna and Isabella had a little photo shoot. Isabella was sticking out her tongue a lot that day and she wanted to catch it on camera.

We recently put together the walker to see how Isabella enjoys. It's too cute watching her in this thing! She pushes herself back and back and back until she reaches a wall :)

There isn't a whole lot of new and exciting information to update you on. Just continuing our daily lives and loving every minute of it. We think of everyone often and can't wait till we're all together very soon! We love and miss you guys!

Since I cannot seem to get anything done anymore, due to the fact that Cecilia always wants to be held and hates her seat and swing, I decided to bust out our nifty difty Baby Bjorn carrier for the first time. It was great because I was able to hold Cecilia while not really holding her...both hands were free. Cecilia, however, saw the distinction and was not happy. Here are the pictures I took to remember the moment. First, she was just really confused:

Then she looked at me with a face that said "Um, what is this, Mommy? You are not actually holding me, I'm just hanging here?" Then, "I DON'T THINK SO!!"So, we took her out of the carrier, and then we THREW IT ON THE GROUND. *sigh* Oh well. Maybe we will have better luck with the Moby wrap.

6 months old!!

Sofia is six months old today! I cannot believe my baby girl is six months! Here are some pictures of her sitting up and playing with her rattle and frog today.

Our 1st Home!

I finally took some pictures of our house. This post is especially for Ryan & Mary since they haven't been able to see the home. You've probably seen the pics on facebook, but I thought I would blog it anyway. We're still working on some things and we have to decorate, but it's getting there! Here is the complete tour.
